Today we get to celebrate you turning 75.
Dad, as your daughters, we’ve been lucky to know you through so many different chapters, as our dad, as a granddad, as a brother, as a friend, as an artist, and as someone who is still learning and growing.
What we love most about you is that you are real. You feel things deeply. You care deeply. You can be passionate, protective, stubborn, and hard on yourself, and underneath all of it, there has always been a very big heart.
Over the last few years especially, we’ve watched you step into new parts of yourself in ways that have really moved us. Travelling more. Painting. Learning. Taking care of your dogs. Deepening your spirituality. Reconnecting with family and friends. Still looking for the things that bring you joy, peace, and meaning.
At 75, you remind us that wisdom doesn’t mean having everything figured out. Sometimes it just means continuing to try. Continuing to soften. Continuing to grow. Continuing to love people the best way you know how.
We hope you know how loved you are by us, by your grandkids, by your siblings, by your friends, and by so many people whose lives you’ve touched.
Mom would be so proud of you. We are too.
Happy 75th Birthday, Dad. We love you so much.
Love,
Cathy and Anna xoxo
If you have a memory, story, photo, or birthday message for our dad, please leave it in the comments so he can read them and feel all the love around him.
